Medical genetic consultation is available to providers, patients and their
families with Frances D. Kendall, M.D.
Dr. Frances Dougherty Kendall, who trained and was on staff at Boston Children's Hospital, and Harvard Medical School for a number of years, and was the previous 50% owner of a successful genetic laboratory/healthcare provider has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of children and adults with a wide array of inborn errors of metabolism and genetic disorders. She brings this vast experience to her private practice as a Clinical and Biochemical Geneticist. She has authored numerous research articles on various rare diseases that include Niemann Pick Type C and mitochondrial disease and has a long term interest in research and clinical aspects of rare metabolic disorders. She is well known and respected as one of only a few clinical mitochondrial disease experts and is a staunch patient advocate. Dr. Kendall recently became the newest member of the Medical Advisory Committee for the nation-wide mitochondrial advocacy group and non-profit, Mitoaction and is involved in fundraising and charity work for patients and families with genetic diseases.
